Certification Pathway for Internationally Qualified Pedorthists
Eligibility
Overseas qualified pedorthists can take pathways to certification in Australia if they have:
- obtained their pedorthic qualifications in a country outside Australia,
- not completed an approved qualification leading to pedorthic certification in Australia, and
- not held certification in Australia before.
Certification Pathway Structure
Australian certification for overseas qualified pedorthists comprises the following pathways and involves two stages: Application and Certification.

Once your order is complete, the application will be reviewed by the PAA Board to ensure that all supporting documents have been received and are authentic. The PAA Board will contact the applicant if there are outstanding documents or if additional information is required. Once the applicant has provided all necessary documents, the application will be assessed and forwarded to the APRB Committee for evaluation if a bridging program is required.
When assessing qualifications, the Board uses the qualification assessment guidelines provided by the Australian Government Department of Education and accepted educational resources, including the University Admissions Centre Assessment of Qualifications Manual, to establish the Australian equivalence of a candidate’s overseas qualifications.
